Susan G. Komen for the Cure

This is an atypical post for me . . .  not a post about a birthday, a wedding or a new baby.  It is about the women who are waging a war every day, winning their battles and celebrating their fight against breast cancer.

This post isn't about a "registry" it is about a journey.  It is about supporting all of the women that are near and dear to us . . . our mothers, our sisters and our friends.  It is about all of the courageous women we know and the ones we haven't been honoured to meet.

Today, I was able to attend the Komen Race for the Cure with my son.  He is now aware what a great organization it is and learned how they raise awareness and more importantly raise money to help find a cure for a disease that affects so many women's lives.

There are several companies that donate proceeds from their sales to help support breast cancer care and prevention.

Another Company that offers 10% of their net proceeds on their Pink Ribbon Products to Susan G. Komen for the Cure is:

Riedel makes a donation in support of breast cancer organizations when you purchase the Crescendo Pink Wine Glasses

Kitchen Aid also supports Susan G. Komen for the Cure.  Kitchen Aid worked closely with Susan G. Komen for the Cure to develop Cook for the Cure.  When you purchase and register a pink product from the Kitchen Aid product line, they will donate up to $50.00 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Next time you shop online, don't forget to look for Pink Ribbon collections, to assist in supporting great organizations such as Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Or another great way to show your support for Susan G. Komen for the Cure is Race for the Cure - get out there and walk like we did today in support of our friend!
